Abuja Model Study Centre
The Abuja Model Study Centre is the pioneer Study Centre of NOUN since the establishment of the University in 2003, hence the name “Model” was given to it. The Centre was temporarily operating at NOUN Planning Office in Wuse II area of Abuja Municipality. As the University grew over the years, the centre was relocated to its permanent site situated at Kubwa Expressway, after the Public Service Institute, Abuja in June, 2015.
Abuja Model Study Centre as the name implies is among the largest NOUN Study Centres. It has 56 experienced staff from Academic, Administration, ICT, Bursary, Security, etc with over a hundred thousand active students, with an average annual enrollmet of over 7,000 students. The centre has a 700 seater auditorium, 120 seater lecture theatre, about 750 seater pen on paper based examination hall and about 750 seater Computer based examination hall.
Furthermore, the Centre has 250KVA standby generator that complements the power from national grid and a Toyota Hilux vehicle for official use. These facilities and professionalism exhibited by staff is what makes the centre the students’ favorite.
