Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics (DVC-ACAD)
The office of the Deputy Vice –Chancellor (Academic) is an office under the Vice- Chancellor office. Put succinctly, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for all academic matters, such as academic administration, curriculum development, examinations, admissions and other Senate matters.
The office is headed by a Professor and since inception of NOUN, the office has been headed by different eminent Professors:
- Olufemi Peters
- Mba Okoronkwo OON
- Patrick Eya
- Joy Eyisi
- Uduma Oji Uduma
- Chiedu Felix Mafiana (Current)
Functions of the office
Apart from being responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for all academic matters, the office superintends over the under-listed Directorates, Committees and Academic Services.
