Message from the Director
The Directorate is currently made up of the following units and generally overseen by a Director:-
a) Project Conception and Planning :-
Project conception and planning deals with conceiving the idea of the project and coming up with the planning (Design). This is generally referred to as pre – contract activities.
b) Project Monitoring and Evaluation:-
Project monitoring and evaluation deals with overseeing the execution of a planned job. It ensures that execution matches the Designs. This is generally referred to as post – contract activities.
c) Property/Land Management:-
This unit deals with identifying problems with our properties/land as the case may be and advising the University accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTORATE
The Directorate is primarily responsible for the following activities:-
I. Ensuring strict compliance with the master plan of our campuses / study centres where applicable.
II. Planning and Designing our infrastructural facilities.
III. Vetting such Designs undertaken by approved consultants.
IV. Advising on the appointment of qualified service providers in the construction industries.
V. Vetting and advising the Vice-Chancellor on contractual claims by both contractors /consultants.
VI. Monitoring /Evaluation of on-going physical infrastructural Developments.
VII. Reporting on status of infrastructural Developments to Council and Management.
VIII. Advising Council and Management on proper utilization of our properties/Land.
IX. Carrying out all other Directives as may be given by the Vice-Chancellor.
