The Gulak Community Study Centre of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has showcased the NOUN brand at the 3-day Annual Conference organised by Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN), known as the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, for all School Provosts, Principals, Headmaster/Mistress in Nigeria.
The event, which was held at the EYN Headquarters located in Mararaba Mubi, Adamawa State, commenced from 8th – 10th November, 2023.
The director of schools, Reverend Yamunu Daniel Ibrahim, who welcomed the NOUN team, introduced them to the Vice-President of EYN where he promised to call the team back during the upcoming conference of pastors in February, 2024.
He also promised to join NOUN to advocate for the university in attracting more enrollment to the study centre.
On her part, the acting director of Gulak study centre, Mrs. Margaret John Yamtu(JP), who led the NOUN team, talked comprehensively on the flexibility of the university and what makes it unique and distinctive.
Yamtu used to occasion to engage the participants on one-on-one discussion as well as guiding them on the procedures of admission process of the university.
The exercise has afforded the NOUN team the opportunity to entertain a lot of questions, offered clarifications and cleared misconceptions about the ODL mode of leaning.
Flyers of programmes offered by NOUN were shared to the participants as all enjoyed the message.
The visibly-elated centre director said the outing has yielded a number of on-the-spot positives and significant feedback as many of the participants indicated their interests to enroll in NOUN.
