The Vice-Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Olufemi Peters, has approved series of appointments as Prof. Juliet O. Inegbedion is now the Director, Quality Assurance of the university, with immediate effect.

“As the Director, you are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the Directorate and this is in addition to your official schedule as an Academic Staff in the Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education,” the memo said.

Inegbedion, until her new appointment, was the Director, Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies.

Also, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the appointment of the immediate-past bursar, Dr. Ernest Odeigha as the director of a newly-established office.

This, according to the appointment letter, was in line with the decision of the Governing Council for the establishment of Directorate System in the Bursary Department.

“As a director, you are responsible to the Bursar for the day-to-day activities in the Bursary Department,” it said.

In the same vein, the VC approved the appointment of QS. Kazeem O. Onubaiye as the Ag. Head, Procurement.

“As a Director, you are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day activities of the Directorate,” the memo stated.

Dr. Jamiu O. Amusa will assume office as the coordinator for NOUN Incubation Centre Lagos (South West Zone), with immediate effect.

“As the Coordinator, you are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor through the Director, Entrepreneurship and General Studies (DE&GS) on the day-to-day activities of the incubation Centre, Support Services for the day-to-day administration of the Study Centre, “ it stated.

Equally, the VC has approved the posting of Dr. Petu-Ibikunle of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (NOUN-Kaduna)  to Offa Community Study Centre, Offa, Ondo State as the Acting Director.

“As the Study Centre Ag. Director, you are responsible to the Vice-Chancellor through the Director, Learner Support Services for the day-to-day administration of the Study Centre,”it stated.

All the appointments were conveyed in separate memos dated September 28, and October 4, 2022 which were signed by the Ag. Director, Human Resources, Dr. Muyiwa S. Akintola. on behalf of the Registrar.
