The Chairman, Governing Council of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Emeritus Prof. Peter Okebukola has paid a visit to the Badagry Study Centre in Lagos.
Okebukola was there to examine the situation and the center’s activities since its inception at the tail-end of the 2022.
the Council Chairman expressed showed impression especially regarding the facilities at the study centre and commended the director, Dr. Julius Paul Eyanuku and his management team for a job well done within the short period of academic commencement.
“It is a great opportunity for the people of Badagry, that the university is now at their doorstep which also gave them the chance for learners to interact with the staff of the university.
“This study centre is an international study centre in Lagos that encourages members of the community to participate actively in educational opportunities, increasing the number of opportunities for education in the area,” Okebukola said.
He pledged his readiness to show support when the need arises and
urged the centre staff to put more effort towards getting students enrolled at the centre.
In his response, the centre director appreciated the visiting guest, whose personal efforts led to the establishment of the centre through the Chairman of the Badagry Local Government Area Council, Hon.Onilude Olisegun Adeniran.
Eyanuku also thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Femi Peters for the provision of the office equipment to the centre within a limited time and financial crunch.
