Exam monitoring

The Ag. Director, Academic Registry, Mr. Olagboye Osebi, has on November 4, 2022 monitored the conduct of the ongoing 2022_2 Pen-on-Paper examination at Kagoro Community Study Centre.

The Ag director was accompanied by Mr. Ambi Philemon Danladi, a Principal Assistant Registrar at the Directorate of Examination and Assessment.

The director of the centre, Mrs. Pheobe Akass, took them round the examination hall to monitor and ascertain the rate at which the examinations was administered at the centre.

Speaking with NOUN News shortly after the exercise, the Ag. Director of the Academic Registry commended the effort of the centre’s management for the way and manner they were conducting the examination exercise.

He further stated that he was satisfied with the way the Centre is being maintained and abide by the university rules and regulations laid for the conduct of the examination.

Moreover, Mr. Osebi maintained that monitoring of the examination is very crucial in the university system because it is a means through which standard is achieved and maintained.

He added that it is through the monitoring the university management can assess situation and make recommendation for policy formulation and implementation.

On the staff strength at the Centre, he lamented that it needs to be improved specifically in the counseling unit of the Centre.

He urged the Centre staff to live up to expectations of the university Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olufemi Peters, on maintaining standards.

He also appealed for efficiency in discharging their official responsibilities and put National Open University of Nigeria first.

On her part, the director of the Centre, Mrs Pheobe Akass thanked the university management for the effective monitoring of the examination as this would make them step up to meet their expectations.

She assured the university management their total commitment and determination in their workplace.

She urged the staff of the centre to put more effort in ensuring that NOUN is projected to a greater height.

In another related development, on Saturday November, 5 2022, the monitoring team proceeded to Plateau state where it monitored the administration of the same exercise

The Ag. Director of the Academic Registry commended the Study Centre Director, Dr. Philip Tachin and all the staff for the smooth conduct of the examination.
