The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Issac Butswat, has on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, visited the Maiduguri Study Centre, where he monitored the conduct and general administration of the ongoing 2022_2 e-Examinations.

The DVC was received by the Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Hawa Ben-Hirki and other senior staff at the centre who took him round to monitor the ongoing examination.

He inspected the recent renovation works at the centre as well as toured some facility and staff offices.

Butswat expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exercise and commended the management of the centre on their commitment and determination in ensuring a hitch-free and seamless exercise

The DVC commended the Centre Overseer Ms. Lami Daniel  for well management of the centre since the demise of the centre director Mr. Idris Garba and the Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Hawa Ben-Hirki who joined her to coordinate the administration of the examination at the centre.

The DVC also commended the staff  of the centre for harmonious working relationship and urged them to keep the flag flying and continue moving the centre forward.

In a brief discussion with the management of the centre where they voiced out some of their challenges which include lack of electricity and inadequate water supply at the centre for about two years, the DVC assured them that his assessment on the situation of the centre would be reported to the management of the university for consideration.
