The Director, Katsina Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Babangida Iro, has tasked staffers of the centre to rededicate themselves towards the effective discharge of their duties with a view to taking the centre to greater heights.

This followed a crucial general meeting recently with the staffers of the centre aimed at ironing out workable modalities for the new centre in 2023.

Iro spoke extensively on staff attitude to work and urged them to double their efforts and make their offices their primary concerns in all ramifications.

He urged the staff to engage in rigorous advocacy activities for the centre to ensure high number of students enrolment, being one of the topmost priorities of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters.

Speaking about the first semester 2023_1 activities, Iro maintained that advocacy campaigns are invaluable for the sustainability of the centre and the university as a whole.

While reacting to the increment in school fees, the director maintained that NOUN fees remain affordable compared to other universities.

“In light of this, the university will continue to witness greater influx of students due to its uniqueness and affordability,” he added.

He assured the management of the university of the staff commitment and determination, which shall be geared towards making the university the best academic hub.
