The Diocesan Bishop/Dean of the Cathedral of Anglican Dioceses of Makurdi, Benue State, Rt. Rev. Dr. N.N.Inyom, has paid a courtesy visit to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Makurdi Study Centre, Benue State.
The aim of the clergy’s visit was to express his admiration for NOUN’S Open and Distance Learning (ODL) model, citing its accessibility to people from all walks of life, flexibility and its affordability.
He said the university has earned his trust as such he will do everything possible to continue to serve as its goodwill ambassador in his domain.
Inyom commended the university’s remarkable progress and milestones as the West Africa’s largest ODL institution.
To this end, he promised to continue to advocate for the university to people in his domain to take advantage of the flexibility of the mode of learning to achieve their academic goals.
He was welcomed to the centre by the director, Dr. (Mrs) Serah Alao, alongside senior members of staff.
The visit was also to further strengthen NOUN’S community ties and to reinforce its commitment to providing quality education to all that seek knowledge.
It climaxed with the clergy offering prayers for the centre, staff, and the university’s continued success.
