Administrative officer, Mr Okesola explaining some points to students

The Ilaro Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has given its fresh students an orientation on e- exams ahead of the commencement of the 2022_2 semester’s examinations.

The e-exam has already commenced on Thursday, 24th November 2022 nationwide.

The study centre took time out to re-orientate its students on the conduct of e- exams in the university.

The orientation commenced at 2 pm on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022, at the centre’s Information, Communication, and Technology apartment.

Director of the centre, Mr. Ayokunle Moses Ola, while giving opening remarks, appreciated the students in attendance, which is the beginning of their success, a priority.

He said students often get shrank when they heard an exam word because their exam mentality is frail.

“Perhaps, they do not know the importance of exams,” he said.

He stressed that examination is not organized to depress students but an avenue to develop a sense of responsibility and generally determine students’ level of understanding of the subject learned, which consequently determines their confidence level has performed creditably.

While rounding up the opening remarks, the Director informed the students of both rules and regulations guiding the University examinations and encouraged them to take it easy, never panic be stress-free, and dissociate themselves from examinations’ malpractices.

In the course of giving the students instruction, Mr. Adebowale Okesola, the Centre’s Administrative Officer engaged the students in the operations of electronic examinations with the aid of a projector, right from the home page, log in, and to the point of submission.

Most importantly, they were sensitized on how to navigate through the computer system in the course of attempting questions as nobody would be taught how to use the computer system while the examination is ongoing.
