Mshelia handing over documents to the new helmsman, Mr. Isuwa

The Azare Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Bauchi State, has welcomed its new director, Mr. Elisha Isuwa, who took over the mantle of leadership from the immediate-past director, Mr. Bulama Samson Mshelia.

Isuwa assumed duty on Monday, February 19, 2024, following a brief handing over session with the former director.

Upon arrival, he was given a tour of the centre by the former director, where he inspected facilities and the physical structures of the centre.

Mshelia assured the new director of his total support and also called on the staff of the centre to transfer their loyalty to the new director.

He informed the new director that the staff of the centre are ready to work as a team and would also support and cooperate with him to move the study centre forward.

Mshelia later prayed for the new director to succeed with the university’s mandate in taking education to every single door step and also to be free against any calamity considering the security challenges of the environment.

In his response, the new director thanked and appreciated the warm reception accorded him and also appealed to the staff of the centre to cooperate with him to achieve the desired results.

The new director then briefly held an interactive meeting with the senior staff of the centre where he admonished them to be committed to their duties, maintain a cordial working environment as well as strive to ensure that the study centre and the university are taken to an enviable heights.

Isuwa, a deputy director, counselling, from the Special Study Centre of Nigerian Police, Dei-dei, Abuja, warned the staff to desist from any act capable of tarnishing their image.
