The National Lottery Regulatory Commission, North-west Zonal Office in Sokoto State, has inspected the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Sokoto Study Centre’s computer laboratory hub ahead of the commission’s staff promotion examination.
The inspection team was led by its North-west Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Abubakar Dahiru.
According to the director of the study centre, Mr. A. A. Tanko, the commission had inspected the Computer Based Test facility of the centre and expressed its satisfaction afterwards.
He said this was in compliance with an earlier memo from the Director, Directorate of Examination and Assessment of the university, Prof. Olubenga Ojo, dated August 24, 2022.
Tanko explained that the letter asked the management of the study centre to grant the commission’s inspection team full access to the facility for inspection in preparation for the conduct of the 2022 promotion examination.
After the inspection, Dahiru showed satisfaction and okayed the use of the facility for the upcoming exercise.
He commended the university for providing modern information and communication technology facilities for effective and efficient learning.
The zonal coordinator further disclosed that NOUN is a 21st Century university.
