The Masari Community Study Centre, Katsina State, has visited the Dan Galadiman Katsina, District Head of Malumfashi, Justice Saddiq Abdullahi Mahuta (rtd) at his Palace in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina, where the centre solicited for advocacy support in order to boost its enrolment base.
The centre director, Dr. (Mrs.) Hannatu Isa Dodo, who led the team of other senior staffers of the centre, expressed that it was pertinent for the centre to engage in massive advocacy and seek for the support of elders in the area to boost enrolment into the university.
She added that this was necessary because it’s one of the topmost mission of the administration of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters of ensuring that a massive enrolment is recorded.
Dodo further stated that the centre has come to stay and is for the benefit of the good people of Katsina and the southern part of state in particular.
Being a stakeholder in education, Dodo deemed it necessary for the centre to visit the Dan Galadiman Katsina in order to seek for his blessings in terms of advocacy.
The team also used the opportunity to seek for the king maker’s possible and necessary intervention in the study centre so as to boost its stability.
On his part, the Dan Galadiman Katsina promised to support the community study centre in all possible ways in order to bring about positive developments to the centre.
He added that they will do all they could to educate people about the existence of the university and the bountiful benefits that await them to harness.
The king maker, therefore, appreciated the visit and promised the centre the contribution of his palace.
The centre’s senior councillor, Mr. Idris Ahmad Idris, Mr. Salim Ibrahim Ismail, and a host of others were among the entourage that visited the king maker.
