The University Bursar, Mr. Nasiru Marafa, has said that examinations monitoring is imperative in such a way that it ensures a proper compliance with the laid down rules governing the conduct of the examination.
The University Bursar stated this in an interactive session with NOUN News shortly after monitoring the conduct of the ongoing 2022_2 Pen-on-Paper examination at the Kaduna Study Centre.
Marafa said his visit was to further ensure that the invigilators at the centre maintain active surveillance for every moment of the exercise.
On the importance of examination to students, he maintained that it improves learning and enables students to take a new information.
He added that it helps to widen the students’ horizon and make them outstanding and has helped many to become readers, learners and researchers.
Therefore, the bursar added, this can only be achieved with effective and efficient monitoring of the administration and conduct of the examinations.
He urged the management of the centre to put all efforts and maintain standard in conducting the examination.
This will ensure that smooth and seamless exercise is recorded throughout the examination period, Marafa said.
On his part, the Director, Kaduna Study Centre, Mr. Yusuf Abdullahi, said so far the ongoing examination at the centre has continued to enjoy seamless streak.
The centre has achieved this through the collective efforts of the staff and the binding spirit of team work put in place, said Abdullahi.
He assured the university management of his continued effort to ensure that success would always become the end result.
The director hinted out that maintaining standard and uplifting the standard of the university to the greater heights is his topmost priority.
