The Vice-Chancellor (r) handing over the NOUN souvenir to the DBI The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) have developed a strategic partnership to offer five National Innovation Diploma Programmes.

The programmes are: Computer Software Engineering, Computer Hardware Engineering, Network Systems and Security, Multimedia Technology and Telecommunication Engineering Technology.

This was arrived at during a courtesy visit to the NOUN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, by the Digital Bridge Institute on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the headquarters of the university, Abuja.

The DBI, during the visit, submitted a proposal to collaborate with NOUN and consequently the two institutions agreed to float the diploma programmes, according to a memo signed by the Deputy Registrar, Vice-Chancellor’s office, Mr. Adefemi Oyedipe.

The programmes, the memo said, would be offered through a blended learning approach, combining online and in-person sessions across NOUN’s and DBI’s centres.

In addition, a committee to look into the floating of the programmes vis-a-vis development of the OPP and DPP was constituted with six Terms of Reference, which has the DVC, TIR, Prof. Godwin Akper, as the chairman.

Members of the committee are: Prof. Gregory Okagbare (Director, DAP), Prof. Grace Jokthan (Director, ACETEL), Dr. Greg Onwodi (Ag. Dean, Faculty of Computer) and the NOUN Registrar.
