The newly deployed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Minna Command, DC Rukayya Yahaya, has expressed her commitments in providing topnotch security to the Minna Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Yahaya stated this when she led the staff of her command on a familiarisation visit to the centre on Tuesday, 6th December, 2022.

According to her, this move was to synergize and strengthen on the existing cordial relationship that exists between the two organisations.

She reiterated the command”s resolve to provide modern community policing especially on securing the centre’s facilities and other resources.

On his part, the Centre Director, Dr. Matthew A. Gana, in his response, expressed his appreciation to the commandant for her support and cooperation towards the centre, especially during examination periods.

While emphasising the bilateral relationship with the command, Gana said their services to the centre was appreciated.

He noted that the presence of the NSCDC has boosted the security of the centre which, he said, they hope to continue to engage them more as their resources grow.

He, however, encouraged staff of the command to take the advantage and enroll into NOUN for quality, flexible and cost effective learning.

The visiting commandant was accompanied by DSC Hamisu Adamu and ASCI Abdullahi T. Wenko, as they were presented with NOUN souvenirs.
