A 2-man delegation of the National Universities Commission (NUC), led by Miss Lulu Udoka, has visited the Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL) for a mock accreditation and verification exercise.
The exercise held on March1, 2022 at the headquarters of the National Open University of Nigeria, Jabi, Abuja is in preparation of the main accreditation exercise coming up on the 13 -16 March, 2022.
Udoka, who is the NUC’s project management assistant in the ACE impact projects and leader of the delegation, informed the team of the benefits of the exercise and advised that it should be taken seriously.
She appealed for the corporation of the head of departments so as to achieve a seamless accreditation exercise.
‘‘There will be scoring and it is not just we the delegates that will participate in it, rather, every participant will,’’ she added.
Director of the World Bank assisted centre, Prof Grace Jokthan, said the accreditation was necessary to sustain the disbursement of resources for the project and prepare the centre for the actual accreditation and verification exercise scheduled to hold in March.
Meanwhile, the team had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, to intimate him about the thrust of their visit and the forthcoming accreditation exercise.
