The University Librarian, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Associate Prof. Angela Ebele Okpala, has described the administration and conduct of the ongoing 2023_2 Pen-on-Paper (POP) examination as “excellent.”
She disclosed this in a chat with NOUN News on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 while monitoring the exercise at Enugu Study Centre, Enugu State.
Okpala expressed satisfaction about the fact that students were independently taking their exams as well as the peaceful manner they comported themselves during the examination, even as no malpractice was thus far recorded.
The University Librarian said that the sitting arrangements were well organized and well-spaced.
She commended the centre for being thorough and meticulous in the processes of searching and checking-in students into the examination hall, which, according to her, has drastically reduced cases of exam malpractice.
Okpala, while applauding the centre director, Prof. Alexander Uche Onyia, for being very active, also eluogised the staff for their hard work and dedication in ensuring a seamless exams.
Equally, the librarian had monitored the ongoing 2023_2 POP examnation at the Abakiliki Study Centre, also describing it as excellent.
She commended the centre director, Dr. Udu Ama Aka, for a well-coordinated and orderly arrangements of exams as well as the efforts of staff in ensuring a hitch-free exercise.
On the part of students, she expressed her impression about their sense of maturity and living above board during the examinations.
Okpala added that they observed the rules and regulations guiding exams.
