The Management of Owerri Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), on Thursday, May 2, 2024, held a 1-day orientation and exam briefing for new and old students at the centre in Imo State.

The director, Dr. Juliana Ndunagu, while declaring the event open, congratulated the new students on their admission into the prestigious institution and charged them to focus on their studies.

She reminded of the dangers of engaging in frivolous tendencies that could cripple their academic performance.

Ndunagu said students are expected to do their Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) by themselves as it prepares and helps them to pass their exams.

NOUN, she said, is fully prepared towards providing quality education through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of instructional delivery, adding that the university has zero-tolerance to exam misconducts as culprits would not go unpunished.

She counselled them to join their various faculties’ Whatsapp and Telegram groups so as to be receiving prompt important information.
