
Career Profile
Prof. Ofe Iwiyisi Inua is a Professor of Accounting at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Department of Financial Studies, Faculty of Management Sciences.
She has a Ph.D, M.Sc and B.Sc in Accounting at the University of Benin, Nigeria. She also has a Distinction in Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
Prof. Inua started her career in academics as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Benin in 2003 and later transferred her services to NOUN in 2008 as a Lecturer II.
After her Ph.D in 2013, Prof Inua became the Coordinator of the MBA programme where she led the team that presented the programme for NUC accreditation. It was during this period that NOUN MBA secured full accreditation for the first time.
As a Senior Lecturer between 2016 – 2018 she became the pioneer Head of the Department of Financial Studies at NOUN and is currently the Director, NOUN Lagos Mainland Study Centre I. This centre has grown remarkably in all parameters since her assumption as Director.
Prof Inua has published articles in Local, National and International Journals, Conference proceedings and Book of Readings. She has supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate students and is a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
She has attended Conferences within and outside Nigeria and is a beneficiary of NOUN Senate grant and TETFUND grant. Prof. Inua is happily married with 4 children and her hobbies include hanging out with family, mentoring youths & young adults and subsistence farming.
