The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Isaac Sammani Rabo Butswat, has visited the Jos Study Centre, where he supervised students undergoing the mandatory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

The DVC was received by the centre Director Dr. Philip S. Tachin and management staff of the Study Centre on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Butswat was equally led to the theatre hall where students were already seated to participate in the exercise with other staff.

They were reviewed based on their activities carried out at their respective work stations, with log books graded and signed.

During the meeting, the DVC urged them to continue to be punctual and take their assigned responsibilities with seriousness, even as he expressed satisfaction with what he saw on ground, and commended them for their resilience.

He further commended the centre director along with the management staff, saying that cooperation and commitment from the centre’s staffers were evident.

On the supervision of SIWES students, he said the aim was to ensure that quality is achieved, adding that  the university is after providing quality education to students so as to produce quality manpower in the country for efficiency in work places.

The DVC added that he was highly impressed by the way the students conducted themselves and urged them to keep up the good work.
