NOUNAA representatives at Enugu centre

The National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA), has donated solar street lights to three study centres in the South-east region.

The study centres that benefited from the gesture are: Enugu, Owerri and Awka, as each centre received three solar street lights from the association.

NOUNAA National President, Amb. Dabo Muntaka, represented by the National Financial Secretary, Amb. Florence Ozioma Obi, said the donation was borne out desire to give back to their alma-mater.

Muntaka added that the gesture serves as a way of assisting the institution in meeting part of the needs of its students.

The president pledged the commitment of the body in extending same help to the remaining centres in the zone.

Enugu Study Centre director, Prof. Alexander Uche Onyia, in his response, expressed gratitude to the organisation for its noble initiative, stating that the availability of solar street lights would enable students to stay beyond time for their academic studies.

He encouraged them not to relent in their efforts, as, Onyia stressed, improving the lives of students is a collective responsibility.
