Prof. Isaac Sammani Rabo Butswat

Isaac S.R. Butswat is a Professor of Animal Science, (Animal Reproductive and Environmental Physiology). Born in Gagdi, Kanam LGA of Plateau State, 11–01–1959, he attended Government Secondary School, Pankshin, graduated, 1978 with Div. 1 and proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, same year where he later graduated with a B.Sc. (Agric.) in 1983, Second Class Upper Division and got the prize award as the best graduating student in Animal Science option.

He started work at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 1986, where he rose from the rank of graduate assistant to confirmed Professor in 2002, he had two accelerated promotions and also got two letters of commendation. Prof. Butswat got his M.Sc. in (Animal Science) in 1989 at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Ph. D. (Animal Science) at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, 1994. In 1995 Prof. Butswat got some certificates in Computer Application from the university of Wales, Bangor, U.K. Prof. Butswat obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Distant Education (PDDE) in 2016 at the National Open University of Nigeria.
