The Department of Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is set to hold an International Day of Peace conference where a book titled “Peace Building and Nationalism” will be launched.
With the theme: “End Racism, Build Peace,” the conference, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the headquarters of the university in Abuja, will be preceded by a “Peace Walk” starting from the university’ Faculty of Social Sciences to the Dantata Bridge, Airport Road, Abuja.
Head of the Department, Associate Professor Iroye Samuel Opayemi, said the workshop and book launch will then take place as the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters is expected to serve as the chief host.
The Honourable Minister of FCT, Malam Muhammed Musa Bello, according to the event’s flyer, will be one of the special guests of honour, even as the the Vice-Chancellor, Ave Maria University, Piyanko, Nasarawa State, Prof. Uwakwe Abugu is to serve as the keynote speaker.
