The Directorate for Counselling and Career Development (DCCD) at the National Open University of Nigeria is committed to supporting students at all stages of their academic journey — before, during, and after their studies. We offer career, academic, and personal counselling and guidance services to both prospective and registered students. These services are accessible through in-person sessions, telephone, email, and online platforms such as Microsoft Teams.

Our online and offline resources are designed to empower you with the skills and knowledge needed to manage your learning, navigate career pathways, and deal with personal and professional challenges.

  • In-Person Counselling: Visit any of our designated counselling centres or study centres to speak with a counsellor or career advisor.
  • Workshops and Seminars: We organize regular workshops on career planning, study skills, mental health, and life skills at study centres and online.
  • Telephone Support: Call our dedicated lines to speak directly with a counsellor.
