Dr. Olusegun Adeleke Oba-Adenuga

The Abeokuta Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has held an advocacy talk with the Forum of Heads of Federal Establishments (FHFE), Ogun State Chapter.

The 12-man team, led by the Centre Director, Dr. Olusegun Adeleke Oba-Adenuga, lectured the forum on the topic “NOUN: WHAT WE STAND FOR.”

The lecture was sectionalised on NOUN Vision, Mission, Statement Objectives, Importance of Open and Distance Education, Programmes Run by NOUN, Faculties, and Directorates, ACETEL Training Programmes, Step- by-Step Procedure on how to apply for admission, and the lecture was with compliments to the NOUN Vice-Chancellor and his management staff.

Thereafter, several questions, asked by the audience, were passionately answered the by the director.

At the event, a senior immigration officer, who is also a student of Law in the university, strongly testified to the quality of graduates from the university.

The officer said that at Nigerian Law School, the performance of NOUN’s Law students was overwhelming and therefore encouraged everyone at the meeting to enrol in academic programmes of the university.

Later, Oba-Adenuga, on behalf of the university and the centre, presented the forum a two hundred (200) watts solar powered bulb, with NOUN inscribed on the pole to illuminate the secretariat, following an earlier report of vandalism at the premises.

Chairman of the forum and a director at the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. A.O. Olawumi, drew the curtain of meeting with commendations to NOUN and the centre director.
