The Librarian, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Angela Okpala, has visited the Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Immigration Services, Gwagwalada for inspection of facilities.

The purpose of the visit, which took place on Monday, September 12, 2022, was to prepare ground for the upcoming National Universities Commission’s (NUC), accreditation excise due in November this year.

During the visit, the librarian inspected facilities such as the centre’s library and books to ensure their proper shape ahead the excise, and was taken round by the Director, Dr. Adakole Eje Odike.

Okpala commended the centre for the level of preparedness thus far, urging them, however, to put in more efforts towards ensuring a hitch-free accreditation excise.

On his part, the director, while welcoming her to the centre, appreciated the visit by the university librarian and the advice offered for the overall success of the exercise.

Adakole used the opportunity to point out a number of issues that needed to be addressed ahead of the accreditation team’s visit, citing computers for the e-library as one of the issues pressing for urgent attention.
