The DVC commended the director and staff for their cooperation and the smooth conduct of the exercise so far.

Thereafter, Butswat and his team proceeded to the Nigeria Correctional Service, Jos Custodial Centre to inspect the facilities on ground in respect to the request for the establishment of a study centre there.

While at the centre, the team was received by the Controller of the Jos Correctional Centre, Mr. Jimoh Ibinuhi, who applauded the NOUN team for considering their request for the establishment of the centre to serve the inmates.

The controller assured of their readiness to do whatever is required to achieve the desired goal towards kick-starting the operation at centre this year.

Ibinuhi also acknowledged the impact the university is having on the downtrodden in the society.

The controller, who conducted them round the facilities available for the centre to take-off,  noted that when fully operational they can boast of about a hundred qualified prospective students (inmates), who possess the minimum entry requirements.

The DVC, on his part, commended the service for the available space and their efforts so far, but advised that they should provide the required furniture and computers needed for the final approval.
