A 3-day workshop organised by NOUN Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society (NSMCS) for its members and anchored by a renowned consultancy firm, Technokrat Consulting Ltd, ended last Saturday in Port Harcourt.
The workshop which commenced on Thursday, 17th August and ended on Saturday, 19th August, 2023, had the theme, _The Gains of Transparency and Accountability in Managing a Cooperative Society_ , and had delegates participating both physically and virtually.
Held at Port Harcourt Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), the event featured three major papers addressed by three resource persons.
The first paper titled, _Transformational Leadership,_ was presented by Mr. Danjuma Yusuf, the managing director of Technokrat Consulting Ltd.
Similarly, _Cooperative Accounting and Financial Statements_ , was presented by Mr. A. O. Agbo; while the final paper, _Fundamentals of Cooperative, Office and Management Techniques_ , was handled by Mr. Joseph Loco.
It would be recalled that the workshop was earlier scheduled to hold at Silicone Resort Hotel, Opposite Golf Pitch, GRA, Enugu in Enugu State on Thursday, July 6 to July 8, 2023, but was postponed because of elements of insecurity reported in the city at that time.
Participants testified that the workshop was quite enlightening and worthwhile.
Each workshop delegate was presented with a certificate of participation at the end of the training.
