The new Acting Director, Isulo Community Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr Georgina Ogbonna, has taken over the mantle of leadership at the centre in Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State.
She took over from the immediate-past Acting Director of the centre, Dr Bibian Ugoala who was transferred to Awka Study Centre in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
Ogbonna, who until her new appointment was the Chief Counsellor at Awka Study Centre, commended her predecessor for her commitment and diligence towards the growth of the centre.
In her maiden meeting with the staff, she thanked them for a warm welcome extended to her and canvassed for a working relationship of oneness, unity and harmony among staff, which she described as the hallmark of success.
“My first priority is to ensure punctuality to duties. This is because punctuality is the sole of every business. As a matter of necessity, we must strive to put in our best to take the centre to its next level,” Ogbonna said.
She admonished them to shun the act of staying away from duties without due process as well as to avoid bearing grudges against one another, adding that it is anti-productive.
The new director solicited for maximum cooperation and support from the staff so as to move the centre forward.
