The Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Olufemi Peters has assured partners of the Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL), that the university will continue to support them for the benefit of all.
He said this while declaring close the 3-day workshop on cyber-security and digitalization, organized by NOUN’s ACETEL in collaboration with EFCC, NITDA and CEA-SMIA.
The Vice-Chancellor extended his appreciation to the partners both in Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
“Private and Public institutions should work together to make our cyberspace safe from cybercrimes. We shouldn’t wait on the government to do everything as we are all affected by the cyber issues,” Peters added.
Earlier, the centre leader, CEA-SMIA, Prof Jules Degila thanked the Vice-chancellor for his support and encouragement In organizing the workshop.
He also recognized the support of other partners.
“This workshop is an example of the things we are doing right and a further look at what we can do better, going forward,” he added.
