The fresh and returning students of Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abia State, have undergone a 1-day orientation programme organised by the management of the centre.
The centre director, Dr. Nkata U.Kalu, while declaring the event open, said the exercise was meant to acquaint students of the mode of operations in NOUN and to provide other useful information that would enhance their academic excellence.
He charged them to take their studies serious as well as to be part of the NOUN advocacy ambassadors of spreading the good message of the university both within and outside the host community.
The director enjoined students to be of good character and shun acts capable of putting the institution into disrepute.
Students took turns to ask questions on difficult areas, while the management team provided corresponding answers.
The exercise ended smoothly with an impressive attendance.
