The Management of Patani Community Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Patani, Delta State, on Monday, January 13 2023, took its advocacy campaign to motor parks in the town.

The advocacy team, led by the acting director of the centre, Mr. Douye Koroye, visited popular motor parks and other community spots with high concentration of human traffic.

Koroye explained that the reason his team targeted motor parks for the advocacy was to disseminate salient information concerning the operations of the university to travellers, motor park workers and community members.

The team highlighted major aspects of the activities of NOUN, including its mission and vision, as well as the mode of operation.

Koroye, while explaining the advantages of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of education delivery, urged members of his audience to take advantage of the flexibility and spread of NOUN to update and upgrade their academic status in order to remain socially relevant and ready for emerging opportunities.

The visit also featured distribution of flyers to travellers, motor park operators and community members.
